4th Grade Pop Art

4th grade students learned about Pop Art. They discovered that the Pop stands for popular culture. Students drew popular things as the subject of their art.

CHICK FIL-A DISPLAY!


3rd graders displayed their artwork at the Aurora Town Center Chick Fil-A for Arkansas's fundraising night. The artworks on display were inspired by the book Hungry World: What the World Eats. Students studied the book and learned about different cultures, food and families.

Asian Inspired Hanging Scrolls

3rd Graders created Asian inspired hanging scrolls using chalk pastel and india ink.




Artist Journals

Fifth Graders Showing off their accordion style artist journals.







Street Art Murals

Fifth graders learned about differnet street artists, such as Banksy and Moose. They learned how to create their own stencils and through that process learned about positive and negative space. They used the stencils they created and chalk pastel to design their own street art murals.
















OLYMPIC MEDALS

3rd Grade learned about the connections between art and the olympics. Here they are showing off their own clay olympic medal designs.






























Faith Ringgold Inspired Artworks

2nd Graders learned about the artist Faith Ringgold and quilting. They created artworks inspired by her book Tar Beach. In these artworks students illustrated themselves flying over special places they dreamed up.
